Stop motion (also known as stop frame) is an animation technique to make a physically
manipulated object appear to move on its own.
Claymation is a form of stop motion animation, using clay, and recording the clay objects or scenes moving in separate frames, then adding all of the footage together consecutively, and due to persistence of vision (see page 3), the frames are seen together like a normal film.
